Microscopes

Conservation of the tooth is very important when removing dental decay and restoring a tooth. The ability to remove only diseased tooth structure is important in trying to keep a tooth for an entire lifetime. Conservative micro-dentistry requires the dentist to see close up, magnified areas of the tooth when removing dental disease. Through the dental microscope Dr. Kotlow is able to reduce the amount of tooth material needed to place a filling when dental decay is present. Children have taken quite nicely to the microscope.
