What is Pediatric Dentistry?

A pediatric dentist specializes in the oral health of children from birth through the teenage years. Receiving an additional two years of dental training, the pediatric dentist knows how to deal with all aspects of children’s dentistry including effectively dealing with unique behavior of children, making children feel comfortable. Pediatric dentists have also been trained to treat the special needs of patients that are mentally or physically challenged.
